We were given a long and narrow site, which required placing a significant portion of the house close to the street. This created a concern for both us and the clients, particularly regarding privacy and exposure.

To address this challenge, we designed the street-facing façade as a dynamic elevation capable of filtering and controlling the relationship between the interior spaces and the street.

The proposed solution consists of a steel screening system made of panels perforated with circular openings of varying sizes and densities. Some of the panels slide into built-in pockets, while others rotate on hinges, allowing the façade to adapt to different levels of privacy, daylight, and openness.

The design and technical requirements made it clear that the system had to be developed specifically for the project. In some cases, achieving a precise architectural solution requires creating a fully customized element rather than compromising with an existing product that provides only a partial response.

המגרש הארוך והצר חייב למקם חלק משמעותי מהבית סמוך לרחוב, והעלה שאלות של פרטיות וחשיפה.

כדי להתמודד עם האתגר תוכננה חזית דינמית הפונה לרחוב, המסננת ושולטת בקשר בין חללי הפנים לסביבה. מערכת ההצללה עשויה לוחות פלדה מחוררים בפתחים עגולים בגדלים ובצפיפויות משתנים. חלקם נעים לתוך כיסים סמויים ואחרים מסתובבים על צירים.

כך החזית יכולה להשתנות בהתאם לצורך בפרטיות, באור טבעי ובפתיחות. המערכת פותחה במיוחד עבור הפרויקט, מתוך הבנה שלעתים פתרון אדריכלי מדויק מחייב אלמנט מותאם אישית.
